Circus appears in the film not only by means of the actor’s extraordinary real acrobatic sequences but circus also flows into the scenario, into the camera movements...definitely into the special effects.
Circus slides onto the movie through the muti-disciplinarity of the interpreters and the non-linear writing that is typical of the My!Laika esthetics. Cinema-circo is an experiment that gives to the cinema the possibility to use the circus language and not the other way around.
The freshness of the solutions, the poor technical academism, the courage or the unscrupulous attitude of the circus make this kind of genre a very original and enormously creative artistic field.
Michelangelo Buonarroti's sculptures stand out and impose themselves with their dazzling whites and sensuous forms in the path that winds its way through the ducal rooms.
Sixteen hours of conception, creation and filming are at the company's disposal to create their typical "three-dimensional collage" in which the forms of the great master are spectators of circus and musical performances, ambiguous references in the disturbing and usually ironic and poetic universe of My!Laika kunst-cirque.
Filmed at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa on 28/29 December 2020 within the exhibition “Michelangelo. Divino artista”.
Produced by Sarabanda with the support of Institut Français as part of the Circus Zone project.

A Domestic Apocalypse is the first long feature film by My!Laika. To celebrate ten years of the performance 'Popcorn Machine' the company decides to transpose it into a film version.
The result is an experimental film that takes scenes from the show side by side with new suggestions that unfolds in space and time in an old house.
Circus and cinema merge in a whirlwind of musical and physical acrobatics united by My!Laika's style: as irreverent and comical as it is poetic and absurd.
Filmed from 4 to 7 Agosto at Villa Orsini, Casciana Alta, Tuscany, Italy

A film freely inspired by the performance LAERTE
On the marvelous island of San Pietro, the stories of four characters who flutter as if
trapped in time, intertwine through a long waltz of images.
Paraphilosophical discussions are interspersed with true sea stories in a tornado of
strangeness, visions and things as simple as a hug.
Just Another Storm is another storm,
an intense collage of images that risks transporting you to the bottom of the sea.
Created and filmed from 12 to 26 August 2021 on the island of San Pietro (Sardinia) as part of the project “Interconnessioni”
